Insomnia Drug: Likely New Recommendation

According to the new research, FDA is likely to recommend cutting the insomnia treatment drug from the family of Zolpidem by half to minimize any adverse side-effect. The recommendation will come only for women only for the drugs sold under brand names Ambien, Edluar, Zolpimist and generic versions of Zolpidem. The recommended dose is 5 mg (instead of 10 mg) for regular product and 6.25 mg (instead of 12.5 mg) for extended-release formulation.
